Beryl (Peg) L. Arnett, 93, passed away, Sunday, June 26, 2022, at Willowick Moments in Clinton, WI, with family by her side. Peg was born on July 8, 1928, the daughter of, George and Alma (Siebert) Smith in Chemung, IL. She attended Capron High School. She married George J. Arnett in 1944 and they raised 5 children together in the Poplar Grove area. She was a lifelong member of the Poplar Grove Methodist Church.

Peg worked at Admirals in Harvard, IL and retired from Edenfruit in Poplar Grove at the age of 70, after 40 years.

She enjoyed going to her children and grandchildren's activities, shopping with her daughters, playing cards with family and friends, bowling, going out to eat, watching golf and March madness, as well as visiting with friends and family.

Peg liked going to her daughter's pond to enjoy the beautiful and calming outdoors. It was her serenity place.

Being the oldest daughter in her family, Peg became the second mother to her siblings as they were growing up. She continued that care giving all through her life.

Peg is survived by her son, Robert Arnett of Belvidere; her daughter, Connie (Jim) Johnson of Poplar Grove; her son in law, 3 sisters, 2 sister in laws, 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren with 3 more on the way; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A great legacy.

Peg is preceeded in death by her parents, her husband, 2 sons, a daughter, a granddaughter, 4 brothers, 7 brother in laws and 5 sister in laws.

Peg's visitation will be held on Thursday, June at 30, 2022, at 10:00 a.m., funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., at Poplar Grove Methodist Church, 105 E. Grove St., Poplar Grove, IL. Burial to follow at Highland Garden on Memories, 9800 IL-76, Belvidere, IL.
