Bernice Iva Tessman, 81, of Belvidere, died Tuesday, August 23, 2011 in Northwoods Care Centre after a long illness. Born September 4, 1929 in Harvard, the daughter of Walter and Iva (Seyller) Love. Married Roy Sellick on May 17, 1951. Married Robert Tessman on December 6, 1969. Bernice worked as a lunch lady at the Belvidere High School for 25 years, was an avid gardener and loved to take pictures wherever she went. The family wishes to acknowledge the excellent care provided by Sharon Thomas and the staff of Northwoods Care Centre, Belvidere.Survivors include her loving husband Robert, sons Terry (June) Sellick and Rick Tessman, grandchildren Ryan (Kristin) McClenthen and Jesse McClenthen, great-granddaughter Madison Nighswonger, sisters Betty Rhodes, Joanne (Melvin) Small, Patricia (Paul) Tiernan, brothers Lynn (Ruth) Love, Jack (Mary) Love, Bob (Evelyn) Love, Jim (Ruth) Love, George (Carole) Love, sisters-in-law Ruth Love and Geri Love. Predeceased by her husband Roy Sellick, son James Sellick, parents, sisters Mary Braun, Marge (Leonard) Bloese, and Verna Goddard, brothers Kenneth, Walter, Donald and John Love.
