Beatrice I. "Bea" Cassidy, 85, of Belvidere, IL died peacefully, Sunday, March 9, 2014 in Azura Memory Care, Clinton, WI after a lingering illness. Bea was born November 5, 1928 in McHenry County, IL the daughter of Francis D. and Mabel (Johanningsmeir) Cordray. Bea married William M. Cassidy in Belvidere, IL on December 17, 1945. She retired from the Chrysler Corporation in 1990 after 21 years of faithful service. Bea enjoyed quilting, sewing and baking for her family and friends.

Beatrice is loved and will be missed by her children, Kathleen (Arnie) Winnie of Belvidere, Cynthia (Scott) Sauberlich of Roscoe, IL, Robert (Terrie) Cassidy of Poplar Grove, IL; nine Grandchildren; fifteen Great-grandchildren; son in-law Max Gardner; sister, Mae Hullinger and brother, Jim (Theresa) Cordray. Bea is preceded in death by her parents; husband, William; son, Gail Michael Cassidy; daughter, Gayle Gardner; sister, Fern Osterberg and brother, Gail "Buck" Cordray. The family would like to thank the staff of Azura Memory care, especially, Mary, Tracy and Cindy and the staff of Heartland Hospice, especially, Deb, Lindsey and Megan for the wonderful care and love they provided to Bea.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 24, 2014 in Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services: Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Chapel, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL with Rev. Pam Rossmiller, pastor of Grace United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Belvidere Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to service time Monday at the funeral home.
