Barbara Ellen Stima, 87, of Belvidere, IL passed away peacefully, Monday, November, 15, 2021, at her home. Barbara was born November 19, 1933 in Belvidere, IL the daughter of Herman and Ella (Klenzendorf) Buhl. She married the love of her life, Nicholas Stima on October 31, 1954 in Belvidere, IL. She was a graduate of Belvidere High School and worked for Dauge Decorators and The Boone County Council on Aging in Belvidere. Barbara was a member of Mary Martha Group, Immanuel Lutheran Ladies Guild, Life Light Bible Study and Stephen Ministries. She loved watching her Chicago Cubs, going to lunch with her close friends and adored the time she spent with her grandchildren. Barbara made her spiritual home at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Belvidere. She will be missed by all.
Barbara is loved and missed by her children, Rhonda (James) Vaccarello, Douglas (Christi) Stima, Renee Stima, chosen son, Michael Tice; brother, Edward Buhl; grandchildren, Andrew (Vilma) Burris, Nathan Burris, Daniel (Rachel) Burris, Taylor (Katie) Stima, Olivia (Chris) Leona, Zinna Senbetta, Bayza Senbetta, Meezahn Senbetta, Krista (Troy) Finner, Paul Vaccarello; great-grandchildren, Oliver, Gabriel, Hayden, Hudson, Roman, Allysia as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas; parents, Herman and Ella; brother, Charles (Edith) Buhl and sister-in-law, Carol Buhl.
Barbara's visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. till 10:45 a.m., Monday, November 22, 2021 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1045 Belvidere Rd., Belvidere, IL 61008. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. following the visitation. Burial in Highland Garden of Memories. Memorials to the family to establish later.
