Barbara Noriene Schwebke, 84, of Belvidere, IL passed away on April 11, 2023. She was born on July 14, 1938 to John and Viola (Fidder) Wych. Barbara was a deeply devoted wife, mother, grandmother and GG. On May 25, 1957 she married the love of her life, Vernon Schwebke, and together they shared 4 children and 63 years of marriage. She was a long-time member of the United Church of Christ in Garden Prairie. Her favorite hobbies included fishing, and trying her luck gambling on slot machines. Going to Leech Lake every year was her favorite place. Her catchphrase was, "More line, more fish!" She also enjoyed playing poker and scrabble. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy. She will be missed by many.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Kirk (Patty) Schwebke, John Schwebke, Julie (Stu) Kemp, and Dan (Terri) Schwebke; 7 grandchildren, Shauna (Bobby) Faherty, Casey (Julie) Schwebke, Zachary Schwebke, Sam (Cortney) Kemp, Sarah (Brandon) Bowen, as well as Ted and Marty Schwebke. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Kinley, Norah and Liam Schwebke, Emma and Wyatt Faherty, Vinny Kemp and soon to be baby girl, Bowen; as well as her sister, Nancy (Ron) Blankenship and Marj (Roy) Coleman. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends whom she loved dearly. She is welcomed into heaven by her husband, Vernon Schwebke; and her parents, John and Viola Wych.

Barbara's visitation will be Saturday, April 15th at 11am at Anderson Funeral home. Located at 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere IL 61008. Funeral to follow at 12:30pm. Burial at Garden Prairie Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the United Church of Christ or the Garden Prairie Cemetery Association.
