Barbara F. (Gorman) Polnow, 83, of Belvidere, IL passed away peacefully, Friday morning, July 18, 2014 in Maple Crest Nursing Center after a long illness.  Barbara was born February 26, 1931 in Rockford, IL the daughter of Milton and Lacey (Love) Gorman.  She married Arthur J. Polnow on July 15, 1951 in Belvidere, IL.  Over the years, Barbara worked as a bank teller in Rockford, Belvidere and Marengo before becoming a representative for Tupperware.  She enjoyed needle point and being with family and friends.

Barbara is loved and will be missed by her husband, Arthur of Belvidere; daughter, Kimberly K. (Scott) Olson of Rockford, IL; son, Bradley (Anna) Polnow of Rockford; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild; brother, Robert Gorman of Chicago, IL.  Barbara is predeceased by her parents and two sisters, Gerry and Betty.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 25, 2014 in Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services at Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Chapel, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL, with Rev. Dan Schenck officiating.  A memorial gathering will be held from 10:00 a.m. to service time Friday at the funeral home.  Private burial of Barbara's cremated remains will take place at Belvidere Cemetery.  A memorial fund will be established.  To light a candle or to share a memory, please visit www.AndersonFCS.com
