Barbara F. Helgesen Hendrick, 88, of Belvidere, formerly of Rockford, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Northwoods Care Centre, Belvidere. Born September 6, 1927 in Janesville, WI, daughter of William and Violet (Fitzgerald) Koebler. Married Walter B. Helgesen and had two children, Stephan and Diane. Barbara was employed in Rockford at Rosecrance in the 1970's and loved her work with youth. More recently she was employed as a dog groomer which was her true joy. Later in life she married Ross Hendrick. Barb was an avid reader and loved to play bingo. She belonged to the Women's auxiliary of the Lithuanian Club. Her greatest joys were her family and her pets.

Barbara is well loved and will be greatly missed by her children,  Stephan (Marianne) Helgesen of Tijeras, NM,  and Diane (David) Robinson of Rockford, IL; grandchildren, Bradley (Justine) Robinson, Steven (Ashlee) Robinson, Daniel Robinson, all of Rockford, Ulla Plourde and Lisa Helgesen of CT and great-grandchildren Brayden Robinson and Paislee Robinson. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ross and numerous brothers and sisters.
