Barbara J. "Barb" Harrison, 60, of Belvidere, passed away suddenly, Sunday, March 5, 2017 at Swedish American Medical Center, Belvidere. She was born February 10, 1957 in Tomah, Wisconsin, daughter of Bruce and Gertrude (Hajek) Harkner. Barb graduated from Tomah High School and went on to serve in the United States Army. She married the love of her life, Jeffrey "Jeff" Harrison on July 26, 1980 in Marengo, IL. Barb was employed by Chrysler for 28 years, was a member of the UAW, and won Woman of the Year in 2007. She enjoyed going to the cabin, watching her beloved Green Bay Packers, and NASCAR. Barb was a member of the Illinois Packer Backers Club. Most of all, loving her grandchildren was her greatest joy.

Barbara is loved and missed by her husband, Jeff; children, Andrea (Daniel) Rezich, and Valerie (Nicholas) Graulich; mother, Gertrude Harkner; grandchildren, Gianna and Jackson Rezich, and Layla and Sloane Graulich; siblings, Mike Harkner, Debbie (Pat) Peyton, Rick Harkner, Keith Harkner, Brian Harkner, Linda (Daryl) Weiger, and Bruce (Carol) Harkner; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Bruce; brother, Timothy Harkner, and sister, Sue Harkner.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave, Belvidere, IL 61008 with Rev. Dean Parker officiating. A visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, March 10, 2017 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
