Barbara Coffey, 77, of Belvidere, Illinois, passed away on December 20, 2025. She was born on March 15, 1948, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of August and Christine Howler.
Barbara was raised in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, where she attended and graduated from high school. Throughout her life, she worked various jobs to support her family and serve her community. She especially enjoyed her time working in the bakery at Dominick's and later managed the Clark's Gas Station in Belvidere. Barbara was known for her strong work ethic and dedication in everything she did.
Raised in the Greek Orthodox faith, Barbara remained a woman of deep and abiding faith throughout her life. She was devoted to her family and cherished every moment spent with them. Nurturing and caring by nature, she always put the needs of others before her own.
Barbara was a talented crochet artist who took great joy in creating blankets, sweaters, and other handmade items for her loved ones. Each piece was thoughtfully personalized, often inspired by favorite sports teams, colors, or special interests, making every gift truly unique.
Barbara will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, and her kindness, faith, and creativity will be fondly remembered.
She is survived by her children, Tammy (Paul) Stillion, Tina (Greg) Mroz, Nikki Wilcox, and Annie (Tom) Edwards, grandchildren; Erik, Steve, Jimmy, Halley, Ronald, Demi (Ryan), Russell, Faith, Jenna, Jani, and Brian (Dejah), great-grandchildren, Lilly, Chad, Nolan, Steven, Luca, Nolan, and Aria. She is also survived by numerous extended family members and close friends she loved dearly.
She is welcomed into heaven by her son, William James Howler; her parents, Christine and August, as well as her brother; Eddie Pantell.
Burial services will be private to family at Sun Prairie Memory Garden Cemetery.
