Barbara Ann Clark, 87, of Rockford, Illinois, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2026.

Barbara was born on April 5, 1939, to Ernest and Beryl (Ennett) Cridlebaugh. She later married the love of her life, Dennis Clark, and together they built a loving home and were blessed with five children.

Barbara devoted her career to nursing, a profession she truly loved. She found great fulfillment in caring for others and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Her compassionate heart, genuine kindness, and caring nature touched countless lives throughout the years. Barbara had a gift for making people feel seen and valued, and she took a sincere interest in the lives of everyone she met.

A faithful member of State Street Baptist Church, Barbara lived her life with love, generosity, and unwavering faith. In retirement, she found great joy in tending to her gardens, spending time with family and friends, and creating lasting memories with her children, grandchildren. Her home was always a place of warmth, laughter, and welcome, and her loving spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Barbara is lovingly survived by her children: Jeff (Bridget) Clark, Debbie (Rico) Caruso, David Clark, Jodi (David) Kudzma, and Brian (Kelly Taylor) Clark. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Katie Clark, Christopher (Julia) Clark, Patrick Clark, Shawn Milburn, Matt (Sherry) Swinbank, Zach (Jen) Clark, Alex Clark, Lindsey Clark, Katlyn (Eric) Rowley, Brooke (Brendyn) Ford, and Paige Kudzma; 12 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dennis Clark; her parents, Ernest and Beryl Crindlebaugh; her grandson, Adam Milburn; her sisters, Cindy Snider-Dean and Bonnie Hayes; her brother-in-law, Harold Hayes; and her parents-in-law, Rachel and Doc Clark.

The family of Barbara would like to give a special thanks to the staff at PA Peterson at the Citadel as well as Heartland Hospice for all their care and compassion.

In accordance with Barbara's wishes, cremation rites have been accorded by Anderson Funeral & Cremation Services.

A memorial visitation for Barbara will be held on Saturday, August 22nd from 10am until noon, at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, located at 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL. A memorial service celebrating her life will immediately follow the visitation.

Barbara's legacy of compassion, generosity, and unconditional love will continue to live on through the many lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
