Barbara A. Carter, 60, of Belvidere, IL died peacefully Friday morning, February 1, 2013 in Northwoods Care Center after a lingering illness. Barbara was born June 16, 1952 in Anderson, MO the daughter of E. Waldo and Mary B. (Jordan) Mahurin. Barbara enjoyed working crossword puzzles, reading Stephen King novels and collecting ceramic frogs. Barbara is loved and will be missed by her sons Steven Carter of Ogema, WI and Jason Carter of Middleton, WI; brothers and sisters, Maynard Mahurin of Ina, IL, Ada (Ken) Turnipseed of Cottonwood, AZ, Dennis Mahurin of Bloomington, IL and Lora Roberts of Belvidere, IL Barbara is predeceased by her parents, siblings Paul Mahurin, Linda Eash, David Mahurin, Jeff Mahurin and Kimberly Mahurin.
