Audrey Ruth Tice-Miller, 90, of Rockford, IL, passed away Saturday, July 2, 2022, at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. Audrey was born May 23, 1932, in Rockford, IL, the daughter of Edwin and Geneva (Kissinger) Tice. She graduated from West High School, where she was a violinist in the orchestra. Audrey continued her education, graduating from Rockford Business College in 1951.

Audrey married Darwin Lloyd Miller on October 27, 1951; as a member of the D.A.R. as well as the descendants of the Mayflower, she had a great interest in preserving the heritage of family history.

Prior to retirement, Audrey worked for Sunbeam in Chicago from 1950 to 1953 and was also a medical secretary for Rockford Memorial Hospital Neo-natal unit from 1950 to 1951. Audrey made her spiritual home at Second Congressional Church, where she was a lifelong member, former Sunday School teacher and helped organize countless church dinners.

Audrey is loved and will be missed greatly by her daughters, Linda Miller, and Marianne (Salvatore) Marlow; her grandchildren, Sean (Grace Moone) Marlow, and Emily Marie Marlow.

Audrey is preceded in death by her parents.

The memorial service for Audrey will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, October 1, 2022, at Second First Church, 318 N. Church Street, Rockford, IL 61101. Pastor Erbe will officiate.
