Belvidere, IllinoisAudrey A. Hanson, 70, of Belvidere, IL died Tuesday evening, March 6, 2007 in her home surrounded by her loving family. Audrey was born July 5, 1936 in Belvidere, IL the daughter of John and Florence (Dittbenner) Wirth, Sr. She married Russell Hanson, Sr. on August 14, 1954 in Belvidere, IL. Audrey worked for GTE Automatic in Genoa for 27 years, Wal-Mart for 8 years and co-owned Sr-Jr Sportsman's Bar with her husband for 20 years.Audrey was a member of the VFW and American Legion. She enjoyed watching the Cubs and decorating cakes; but mostly, she will be remembered by her gentle way of loving people.Survivors include her husband, Russell, Sr.; children, Russ (Risa) Hanson, Jr., Ricky (Lynda) Hanson and Renee Hanson; brothers and sisters, John (Dorothy) Wirth, Jr., Duane (Dianne) Wirth, Gary (Pat) Wirth, Larry (Peggy) Wirth, Jimmy Wirth, Dolly (Tom) Stewart, Linda (Jerry Huff) Ward, Debbie Langan; numerous nieces and nephews.Audrey is predeceased by her parents and brother, Ronnie Wirth.The family wishes to acknowledge Northern Illinois Hospice, Swedish American Oncology Department; Karen "Squirt" Mitchell, Debbie Langan and Peggy Wirth for the gentle loving care given to Audrey and the family.

A memorial in Audrey's name will be established in care of the family.
