Arthur Dale Radford, age 64 of Washington, Michigan and formerly of Belvidere passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2017 surrounded by his family at Walnut Creek Living in Macomb, Michigan. He was born November 2, 1952 the son of Carl and Dortha (Boston) Radford in Dubuque, Iowa. After graduating from Belvidere High School he worked and received his Associates Degree Electronics from Rockford Valley College
Served in the US Airforce for 4 years 9 months and 10 days during the Vietnam War where he served in Thailand. He also was in the Air National Guard for 2 ½ years. He repaired airplanes including the F4D, F4E, RF4C, EB66, KC97, KC135, and the B52H.
He was a lifetime member of the American Legion, prior member of the Belvidere VFW. He participated in the Belvidere Alano Club, a member of AA since 4/3/83.
Repaired heat treating furnaces for Abar Ipsen. Art enjoyed Fishing, watching NASCAR, the Detroit Lions and Television.
He is survived by his loving children; Cheri (Randy) Wellman of Washington Twp, Michigan, Cynthia (Jose) Tejeda of Poplar Grove, Illinois and Julie (Alan) McLain of Rockford, Illinois. Art is also survived by his grandchildren; Megan (Andy) Berreth, Scott Wellman, Alexis Radford, Zachary Radford, Tony Tejeda, Bradley McLain, Rebecca McLain, Logan McLain, Micheal McLain and his great-granddaughter Annabelle Berreth. He is also survived by his siblings Dennis (Judy) Radford of Galena, IL, Sherman (Jayne) Radford of Henderson, NV, Carl (Cathy) Radford of Walnut Grove, MO, Linda (Mike) Wood of Springfield, MO, Roseali (Arky) Rowan of Miami, OK, Bryan Radford of Springfield, MO and his sister-in-law Margaret of Quapaw, OK. He is preceded in death by his two grandsons Travis Radford and David McLain, his brother Lawrence Radford, and his parents Carl and Dortha Radford.
The Burial Service will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 3:30pm at Belvidere Cemetery (1121 N Main St, Belvidere, IL.) Memorial Donations can be made in Art's name.
