Arthur Keith McCormick, 58, of Belvidere, IL died peacefully, Friday afternoon, August 22, 2014 in OSF St. Anthony Medical Center after a lingering illness.  Art was born February 12, 1956 in Evansville, IN the son of Boyd and Wanda (Nance) McCormick.  He moved with his family at a young age to Belvidere and graduated from Belvidere High School.  Art married Joy M. Tamanauskas on November 8, 1975 in Belvidere.  He worked for 36 years for Top Die Casting in South Beloit, at the time of his death he served as the Quality Control Supervisor.  Art was a sports fanatic; he was a former coach for Belvidere Youth Baseball, played on the Top Die Casting softball team, he enjoyed golf, and was a supporter of the Chicago Bears and Cubs.  Art loved being with his family.

Arthur is loved and will be missed by his wife, Joy of Belvidere; children, Jason (Kelli) McCormick of Hellertown, PA and Kelly (Josh Bevins) McCormick of Rockford, IL; grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Devanie, Abigail, Talulla all of Hellertown, Mason of Rockford; brother, Tony (Linda) McCormick of Burbank, CA; sister in-law Gwen McCormick of Lac du Flambeau, WI.  Art is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ronald.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 28, 2014 in Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services at Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Chapel, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL with Rev. Dr. Robert Kopp, pastor of First Presbyterian Church officiating.  Burial will be in Belvidere Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to service time Thursday at the funeral home.  Memorials can be given in care of the family.  To light a candle or to share a memory, please visit www.AndersonFCS.com
