Arlene W. Fulling – Schiltz, 81, of Belvidere, died Saturday, April 30, 2005 in O.S.F. St. Anthony Medical Center following a long illness. She was born July 10, 1923 in Belvidere, Illinois to Arestha Frank and Lena (Builta) Pearson. Arlene lived in Rockford from 1948 to 1998 when she moved to Belvidere. She was married to Leighton McCabe, he died during WWII. She then married Clyde "Steve" Fulling in Belvidere on March 4, 1946. He died September 9, 1991. She later married Walter "Bud" Schiltz in Belvidere on May 30, 1997. He died March 31, 2003. Arlene was employed as a supervisor of the Records Department by Greenlee Brothers for 37 – ½ years retiring in 1985. A member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Worthy Matron and member of Cherry Valley Eastern Star; Past Queen and member of Alabet Temple Daughters of the Nile, member of American Records Association, member of Women of the Moose, member of Belvidere Women's Club, member of Sister Cities Association and member of the Boone County Historical Society. A graduate of Belvidere High School Class of 1941 and attended Rock Valley College. Arlene is survived by her daughter, Ingrid (Robert) Amberg, Mundlein, Illinois, a son, David (Molly) Fulling, Rockford, Illinois; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; cousins Genievive and Charles Harned and special friends, Elsie and Russ Darby.
