Arlene F. Bredthauer, 95, of Belvidere, died Tuesday, October 20, 2009 in her home following a short illness. She was born on August 27, 1914 in North Loup, Nebraska, the daughter of Elwin Ford and Ethel Grace (Maxson) Eyerly. Arlene was a graduate of North Loup High School, Class of 1932. She married Alvin E. Bredthauer in Arcadia, Nebraska on July 12, 1936. She has been a Belvidere resident for the past ten years, coming here from Algonquin, Illinois. Arlene was the oldest member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Belvidere. She is survived by her husband, Alvin; five children, Phyllis G. Harwood, Elgin, IL; Sandra J. (Bruce) Gielow, Elgin, IL; Jerry (Joyce) Bredthauer, Murray, KY; Betty (Craig) Panepucci, Elgin, IL and Jim (Pera) Bredthauer, Elgin, IL; five grandchildren; two great grandsons; and a sister, Dorothy Bogaard, Sun City Center FL.
