Annie M. Engstrom, 96, of Belvidere, died Sunday, June 12, 2011 in her home. Born October 13, 1914 in LaSalle County, IL, daughter of Jack and Alice (Saevaried) Engelsen. Married Ebert Engstrom on May 14, 1949 in Elgin. Annie worked her entire life. Starting as a young girl, she was a nanny, housekeeper, and later moved to Elgin to work in various factories only to return home each weekend to help care for her younger siblings. She had a keen eye for detail and worked as an electronics draftsperson for Sundstrand retiring in 1978. Annie and her husband lived in California and Florida but always returned to Belvidere to be close to her family. She never said a bad thing about anyone and was very strong in her Christian faith.Survivors include her sister Ruby Flemming of Belvidere, step-daughter Charmayne Tellez of FL, and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, husband, sister Beth McCelland, brothers Luther, John, Glenn, Ray, Robert, and Everett Engelsen.
