Annette Renee Verhagen (Schnor), 57, of Belvidere, IL died peacefully in her sleep on March 21, 2022 in Belvidere. Annette was born on December 6, 1964 in Belvidere to Georgia (nee Pixley) and John Douglas Schnor. She graduated from Belvidere High School and went on to be a CNA with Northwoods Nursing Home, and then Park Place. Annette married, Walter Verhagen, on May 22, 1986 at the Boone County Courthouse; onto that union they were blessed with their daughter, Courtney.

Annette enjoyed watching true crime and history shows, especially interested in Egypt. She had a true sense of humor with a beautiful genuine smile. Her feisty personality made her good at online farming games and enjoying The Grinch year-round. Her greatest treasure in life was her grandson, Lucas.

She will be dearly missed by her husband, Walter; Daughter, Courtney and Angel Anderson; mother, Georgia Schnor; grandson, Lucas; sisters, Jennifer (Rick, deceased) Westendorf, and Becky Schnor; sister-in-law, Kris Schnor.

Annette was preceded in death by her father, John Douglas Schnor, and brother, Douglas John "DJ" Schnor.
