Anna L. Wesenberg (Beckland), 79 of Poplar Grove, died Wednesday, July 15, 2009 in the Loyalton of Rockford, following a long illness. She was born October 11, 1929 in Crookston, MN; the daughter of Ivan J. and Lillian (Stevenson) Abrams. She married George H. Beckland in Crookston, MN on May 5, 1947. He died in 1976. She later married Lawrence R. "Wes" Wesenberg in Rockton, IL on May 30, 1981. She was a factory worker for Arnold Engineering in Marengo, IL. for twenty-two years retiring in 1992. Anna was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. She was a helping hands for the Keen Age Center. She was an avid bowler for many years. Anna was dedicated to her family. She is survived by her husband, "Wes" of Poplar Grove; four children, Duaine L. (Kris) Beckland, Rockford; Walter J. (Pam) Beckland, Belvidere; Luann M. (Stephen) Lungstrom, Winnebago; and Joanie L. (Bob) Damon, Wonder Lake, IL; five grandchildren, Jennifer Pauley, Shane (Meghan) Mathison, Laurie (Dan) Scheck, Justin (Erica) Lungstrom, and Jason Damon; five great grandchildren; four sisters, Janis, Sherilyn, Ivy and Pam. In addition to her first husband, Anna is preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Joan and brother, Lyle.
