Anna Louise Hanson, 91, of Algonquin, IL, formerly of Belvidere, IL, passed away Friday evening, February 12, 2016 in her daughter's home. Born October, 19, 1924 in Vail, Iowa, daughter of Frank and Carrie (Read) Burge. She married George M. Hanson on November 14, 1942 in Kirksville, MO. Anna retired from Arnold Engineering. She was a faithful member of First Presbyterian Church in Belvidere. Anna enjoyed needlework, baking pies and cookies. She was an avid reader. Most of all, she loved her family.

Anna is loved and missed by her children, Sally (Ivan) Everett of Rochelle, Helen (Robert) Hill of Belvidere, Audrey Hickey of Belvidere, Alice (Don) Malcom of Algonquin, Janet Milhone of Rochelle, Donald (Kathi) Hanson of McHenry; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; sister, Eleanor Gauger of Wauwatosa, WI; brothers, Frank (Virginia) Burge of Houston, TX, and John (Doris) Burge of Belvidere. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, grandsons, Damon Everett, Lyle Milhone III, son-in-law, Ron Hickey and brothers, Elden and Norman Burge.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, February 19, 2016 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services at Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Chapel, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave, Belvidere, IL 61008 with Rev. Dr. Robert Kopp officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m., until the time of service. Burial in Highland Garden of Memories. Memorials may be made to the family.
