Ann Elizabeth Liss, 69, of Belvidere passed away peacefully on Monday, March 9, 2009 in Northwoods Care Center after a short illness. Born November 25, 1939 in Chicago, Illinois; daughter of Ralph and Rose (Greenman) Bryant. She has lived in Belvidere 38 years, coming here from Chicago. She is a retired Nurse, having practiced for over 40 years. Ann is a member of the Roman Catholic Faith, and RSVP (Retired and Senior Volunteer Program). She enjoyed quilting, sewing, volunteer work and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by two daughters, Lois (Dennis) Nord, Belvidere; and Laura (Erick) Gruber, Rubicon, WI.; two sons, Kenneth (Susan) Liss, Springfield, IL and Robert (Lori) Liss, Cherry Valley, IL; fourteen grandchildren, Amy (David) Grafton, Katie (Donald) O'Brien, Michael (Sarah) Liss, Justin Liss, Anthony (Heather) Liss, Haley Liss, Dana Larkin, Colin Liss, Steven Larkin, Hannah Liss, Emily Gruber, James Larkin, Alex Gruber and Erin Gruber; four great-grandchildren, Abigail Grafton, Grace Grafton, Kailey Liss and Charlie O'Brien; four sisters, Delores Bryant, Beverly Bryant, Phyllis Duda and Earlene (John) Federici; and a brother, John (Jan) Bryant and also numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Ralph and a brother Robert Bryant.
