In Loving Memory of Andrew Forcier
March 31, 1947 – June 22, 2025

Andrew Forcier of Belvidere, IL was called home to be with the Lord on June 22, 2025, surrounded by loved ones and upheld by prayer. Born to Elmer and Jeannette (Lindsay) Forcier, Andrew was raised in Buffalo Lake, MN. Andy served his country with honor in the United States Army during the Vietnam War as a tank mechanic stationed in France and Germany. His service and dedication to his country were a source of pride for him, and he carried the values he learned during his time in the Army throughout his life.

After leaving military duty, Andy married the love of his life, Sally Nunemaker, on August 2, 1969 in Salina, KS. Shortly thereafter they moved to Belvidere, IL, where Andy started his career as a forklift mechanic with Green Giant. His strong work ethic and dedication to his job made him a valued member of the company. His career spanned 44 years, and his commitment to the work he did was a testament to his character.

Andy and Sally were married for 55 years, and together they raised three children: Ray (Nancy), Brian (Connie Becker), and Emily (Michael) Isaac. Andrew's pride and joy were his eight grandchildren: Noelle, Andrew, Anna, Archer, Sonny, Brooks, Ellery, and Corlan.

Andy was an active member of Faith Baptist Church, where he was deeply involved in his faith and church community. He also had a deep appreciation for sports, particularly softball, golf, and college football. He spent 40 years as a softball umpire, where he was known for his fairness, consistency, and good-natured humor. His dedication to the game earned him an induction into the Illinois Coaches Association Umpire Hall of Fame in 2021. When not on the softball field, he was often seen golfing with family and friends. He also spent countless hours cheering on his favorite college football teams: Penn State, Mississippi State, and Alabama.

Andrew is survived by his beloved wife, children, grandchildren, and a host of extended family and friends who will miss him dearly. His spirit will live on in the memories of the countless lives he touched. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Jeannette (Lindsay) Forcier.

A visitation will be held at Faith Baptist Church in Belvidere from 9am-11am on Monday, June 30th, 2025, with the funeral to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a memorial donation be made to Faith Baptist Church in Andy's name. http://www.faithbaptistbelvidere.org/
