Andrew "Jimmy" Russell, AKA, Buck, 65, of Belvidere, IL died suddenly, Sunday, September 28, 2014. Born September 18, 1949 in Miami, FL, son of Clinton and Lucille (Cummings) Russell. He attended school in Miami, FL and from there attended Job Corp in Nemo, S.D. He completed his education and continued his journey to Belvidere in 1968, where he laid the foundation for his family by beginning his career at Chrysler Corporation. While there he built bonds and lifetime friendships during his 41 years of employment. He also came to know his Lord and Savior at that time.
He is deeply loved and will be missed by his loving wife of 30 years, Jackie Russell. He leaves behind his loving sons, Maurice and Andrew; loving daughters, Yavon and Shakira; twelve cherished grandchildren; loving sisters, Beverly and Stephine; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clinton and Lucille Russell, and six brothers and one sister.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, October 4, 2014 at Bible Baptist Church, 5831 Tripp Road, Belvidere, IL with Rev. Dudley Matties officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Friday, October 3, 2014 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave, Belvidere, IL 61008, Visitation will also be held from 1:00-1:45 at Bible Baptist Church before the service. Memorials may be given to Bible Baptist Church in Andrew's name.
