Allen J. Greenlee, 91, of Belvidere, formerly of Caledonia, passed away, Thursday morning, January 18, 2018 at Park Place in Belvidere after a long illness. Allen was born April 14, 1926 in Argyle, IL, the son of James R. and Marie (McNair) Greenlee. He married the love of his life Geralyn Lepart in October of 1961 in Argyle, IL. Allen was a farmer for many years in the Boone County area. He made his spiritual home at Willow Creek Presbyterian Church in Argyle.  He enjoyed his family, Chicago Cubs baseball and the outdoors.

Allen is loved and missed by his wife, Geralyn; his children, Glen (Brenda) Greenlee of Ann Arbor, MI; and Gwen Merrill of Alameda, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Leigh Greenlee.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 26, 2018 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave, Belvidere, IL 61008. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m., until the time of service. Burial in Scottish Cemetery of Willow Creek. Memorials may be made to the Boone County Conservation District.
