Belvidere, ILAlice Graham Taylor, 92, Belvidere, IL died Wednesday afternoon, August 12, 2009 in Northwood's Care Center after a 2 year illness. Alice was born April 29, 1917 in Rockford, IL the daughter of Frank and Jesse (Duncan) Taft. She married Charles W. Graham in Caledonia, on July 25, 1936 he predeceased her in April of 1981; she then married Whitman Taylor in 1986 in Caledonia and he died in 1997. Alice farmed with her husband, Charles north of Caledonia until they retired and moved to Belvidere in 1979. She was a member of the Caledonia Congregational Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher and superintendant, and active in the ladies aid society. Alice was a member of the Women of the Moose, Belvidere Women's Club and as a Pink Lady at Highland Hospital.She is loved and will be missed by her daughters, Joanne (Ed) Sayers of Yucca Valley, CA, Sharon (Sherman) Jones of Belvidere, IL and Sandy (Stan) Davis of Davis Junction, IL; brother, Rolland Taft of California and sister, Mary Richardson of Minnesota; nine grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. Alice is predeceased by her parents, husbands, brothers, Tom and Robert; sisters, Lillian Peters, Martha Cox, Annabell Null and Jennet Randerson.
