Alice J. Johnson, 85, of Loves Park, IL, formerly of Belvidere, passed away Monday evening, October 19, 2015 at OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center. Alice was born August 13, 1930 in Peoria, IL, daughter of Jack and Catherine (Brennan) Henninger. She married Henry J. Johnson, Jr., on September 8, 1956 in Peoria, IL. Alice was a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Belvidere, where she was involved with the Ladies Auxiliary.  She was employed by Poulter Implement and Boone County Shopper. Alice enjoyed working for the Visiting Nurses Association after retiring. She had a knack for cooking, baking, cross word puzzles and going to the theatre.

Alice is loved and will be missed by her children, Richard (Diane) Johnson and Sharon (Brian) McDaniel; grandchildren, Katherine Johnson, Kyle, Nicholas, and Michael McDaniel. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Henry, and daughter, Susan Johnson.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M., Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 217 E. Hurlbut Ave, Belvidere, IL. Memorial Service will take place at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, October 29, 2015 at the church following the visitation with Father Randy Wakitch officiating. Burial in Belvidere Cemetery.
