Mrs. Alice Hyland, 89, of Sheboygan, formerly of Belvidere, Ill, died at her home Monday a.m. on April 23, 2007 following a lengthy illness. She was born October 17, 1917 in Monroe, Wis., the daughter of Ernest and Bertha (Rupert) Barth. Married to James F. Hyland, April 25, 1936 in Belvidere, Ill. A member of the United Church of God, Milwaukee, Wis., taught kindergarten at Immanuel Lutheran School, Belvidere, for several years, and was a mail clerk for Belvidere Sundstrand Corp. for a time. Graduated from Belvidere High School, Class of 1935. Survivors include son, Rev. James R. (Marcia) Hyland, Phelan, Calif., daughter, Judy (Kirt) Merriman, Sheboygan, Wis., grandchildren, Kelley & Tracey Hyland, Tiffany & Katie Merriman, great grandchildren, Stephanie, Chaz & Trevor Hyland , also a sister-in-law, Ruth Barth, Monroe, Wis., half-brother, Dick Barth, Viena, Vir., and a half-sister, Janice of New York. Predeceased by parents, husband, sister, Lillian Mueller, and brother, Raymond Barth.
