Alice J. Heggemeier, 91, of Loves Park, IL went to be with the Lord on Saturday evening, November 23, 2013 in OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. Alice was born July 31, 1922 to Aubrey Carl and Jessie (Candler) Morris in Marissa, IL. She graduated from Nashville, IL High School and received an associate degree from Kishwaukee College. Alice worked for Illinois Bell Telephone Company prior to her marriage to Wilbert S. Heggemeier in 1943. They resided in Kirkland, IL from 1953 to 1988. During this time she worked for DeKalb Ag Research; she then moved to Loves Park after her retirement. Children include Stephen (Mary) of Owen, WI, Susan Heggemeier of Loves Park, IL, James (Jody) of Platte City Mo, Judith (John) Zrimec of Westminster, CO, Nancy (Richard) Van Pelt of Chicago, IL, Christine (Stephen) Gilbert of Colchester, CT; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; sister in-law Betty (Arnold) Benson; brother in-law Robert (Suzanne) Heggemeier and many nieces and nephews.Proceded in death by her parents; husband, Wilbert of 43 years; sisters Ruth (Ralph) Schorfheide, Shirley (Andrew) Jackson,; sisters in-law Mildred Stevenson, Margaret Heggemeier; brothers in-law Gilbert and Philip Heggemeier.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be given in care of the American Cancer Society in Alice's name.
