Alice M. (Dee) Hogan, 99, of Belvidere passed away Wednesday June 15, 2005 at Maple Crest Care Centre. She was born April 22, 1906 in Chicago, the daughter of Thomas and Marion Dee. In 1933 she married Reginald H. Hogan in Chicago. She worked as an executive secretary for Bell and Howell. In her 90's, while living in Wisconsin, she volunteered her time three times a week helping children read and teaching them the joy of books. The love of her life were her many dogs and her great-grandchildren hunting for Easter eggs. What she wouldn't do for a piece of chocolate and McDonald fries. She is survived by her daughter Louanne (Gordon) Gotsch of Poplar Grove, daughter-in-law; Penny Hogan of Alabama, 5 grandchildren; Sherry (Pat) Morrall, Gordon (Cathie) Gotsch Jr., Gena (Russ) Garner, Patrice Hogan, Christopher Hogan, 7 great-grandchildren; Sean, Colleen, Jaymas, Tyler, Tony, Ashley, and Danny, and niece Mary Alice Martines. She is predeceased by her husband, and a son Thomas Hogan.Our heartfelt thanks to the staff at Maple Crest for all their loving care, you always go above and beyond.
