Rockford, IllinoisAlfred Stellhorn, 86, of Rockford, Il died Friday morning, October 26, 2007 in his home after a lingering illness. Alfred was born March 20, 1921 in Hanover, Iowa the son of Henry and Sophia (Piel) Stellhorn.He married Olga C. Koester on August 8, 1942 in Red Bud, IL. Over the years, Alfred worked as an automotive mechanic. Alfred was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Rockford, ILSurvivors include his daughter, Elaine (Larry) Holmquist of So. Beloit, IL; grandchildren, Curtis Schelm and Christopher (Cheryl) Schelm; step grandchildren, Marci (Kevin) Hagemann and Brayden Holmquist; 11 great grandchildren; sister, LaVerne (Roy) Falkenheim; brother, Paul (Karen) Stellhorn; several nieces and nephews. Alfred is predeceased by his wife and parents.

Memorials can be given in care of the American Heart Association in his memory.
