Alberta E. Bogardus, 84, of Belvidere, died Saturday, February 5, 2005 in Northwoods Care Center following a lingering illness. Born September 24, 1920 in Elkhorn, Wisconsin to Mr. and Mrs. Mizner. She married Leslie E. Bogardus in Dubuque, Iowa in 1939. Employed as a factory worker by General Electric Co. retiring in 1975. Member of Illinois Horse Association; Boone County Farm Bureau; Boone County B-C Saddle Club and Illinois Stock Horse Association. Survived by Son, Earnest (Frances) Bogardus, of Belvidere; Daughter, Hazel Miller, of Las Vegas, NV; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Arlene Faber, Belvidere. Preceded in death by Husband in 1970.Services 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 10, 2005 in Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Funeral Home 218 W. Hurlbut Av. Burial in Belvidere Cemetery. Visitation 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
