Albert G. Young, 92, of Belvidere, died Thursday, December 9, 2010 in Swedish American Hospital, Belvidere after a long illness. Born April 27, 1918 in Chemung, son of Chris and Sophia (Mathia) Young. Married Verna Smith on September 18, 1943 in Belvidere. Albert worked as a switchboard tester for Automatic Electric in Genoa for 20 years retiring in 1980. Former member of the Flora Grange.Survivors include his wife Verna, daughter Sharon (Jerry) Hall of Belvidere, son Gary (Laura) Young of Machesney Park, 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, brother William of Iowa, and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents, 4 sisters and 3 brothers.
