Agnes "Marie" Presswood, 84, of Belvidere, IL, went to be with the Lord, March 27, 2015. Marie was born December 4, 1930 in Kingsport, TN. She moved to Chicago, IL, and eventually settled in Belvidere, IL. Marie was a long standing member of the fraternal order of the Eagles as well as the Women of the Moose Club.

Marie is survived by her grandson, Michael K. (Sheryl) Prather; adult great-grandchildren, Heather, Terra, and Codey; as well as 4 minor great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Hamilton and her grandson, James "Jimmie" Collins.

The family of Marie Presswood would like to thank and acknowledge Elaine Martin for being such a faithful friends, Northern Illinois Hospice for the support and compassion, they lovingly provided to ease in her passing, and Park Place of Belvidere for going above and beyond for Marie and our family.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 West Hurlbut Ave, Belvidere, IL 61008 with Rev. Wesley Poe officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, April 6, 2015 at the funeral home and also again from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday. Burial will be private.
