AGNES K. BOGARDUS 93 a Belvidere resident most of her life died Thursday March 24, 2005 in Rockford Memorial Hospital. She was born May 12, 1911 in Onarga, IL. to Charles E. & Clara A. (Talbert) Gray. She married Henry W. Bogardus July 26, 1940 in Champaign, Il. She was a mathematics instructor at Belvidere High School for over 25 years retiring in 1976. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church-United Methodist Women, BYKOTA Guild & Monday Nighters, Belvidere Women's Club, Belvidere Education Association, Illinois Education Association, National Education Association. She enjoyed bingo, traveling, writing poetry and she started a pool league at St. Anne Center in Rockford. She is survived by 3 sons – William (Lynne) Bogardus of Columbia City, Indiana, Richard (Roberta) Bogardus of Kankakee, IL. & Russell (Donna) Bogardus of Loves Park, IL., 1 sister-Lola Hickey-Madison, Wis.,12 grandchildren &16 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her parents, husband, 1 son-Robert Bogardus, 1 great granddaughter-Jessica Mikesell, 2 sisters-Velma Wright & Elsie Tremblay & 2 brothers-Lloyd Gray & Nelson Gray.
